It provides excellent protection for the device without a doubt.
The plastic cover over the keyboard gets better with time. It seems to be tighter against the keyboard than the first day.
It does make the device about three times as thick but I had a thick phone before so I hardly notice it. It's actually easier for me to hold it with the larger size.
It does seem to be loose in the holster. In a couple of ocassions while wearing the headset, the cord got caught on something and the phone came loose from the clips. In both cases, the phone was left hanging from the headset. It also seems to be getting looser with time.
Edited after 10 weeks. The holster clip seems to be getting loose. I'm dropping the phone more often when bumped against things. The good news is that the phone is certainly protected against 3' drops but I'm affraid of loosing the phone if I don't notice it falling. I might look for another holster to fit the Otterbox.
