(More customer reviews)I can't comment on reception quality since I never got it to work.
1) The installation instructions look like they were generated by a Chinese to English translation program that was never reviewed by an English speaking person before it went to print.
2) It was not clear whether you are supposed to install the software first, then TV Wonder or the other way around. It didn't matter, I tried it both ways several times - neither worked.
If you install the application software first, it won't finish the installation because it "failed to find an installable component."
If you try to install the driver first, "Windows could not find driver software for your device."
3) When that failed, I went to the ATI support site and there are no Vista drivers listed for the USB 600, only TV Wonder 550 and 650. Odd, since the box has the Windows Vista logo on it. So I downloaded the latest Vista drivers for those (ATI Theater 550 PRO/650 PRO Driver (32 bit) assuming the driver for the 600 should be the same. When I ran the driver installer several times, I got different results every time. At times I got "Failed to access Catalyst Install Manager engine" and other times I got "Device driver software not successfully installed. Please consult with your device manufacturer for assistance getting this device installed."
4) Since I spent 4 hours getting nowhere and you also have to register before you can speak with anyone for support, I decided enough is enough and I'm just going to exchange it for a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 TV Tuner Stick.
I bought this to replace my old Hauppauge WinTV-USB (which always worked flawlessly) because I wanted HDTV. The only reason I bought TV Wonder 600 USB instead of the Hauppauge 1139 WinTV-HVR-950 Hybrid TV Stick External TV Tuner/Video Recorder for PC was because the TV Wonder came with a remote control. Big mistake because what good is a remote control for a product that you can't get to work.
