(More customer reviews)Before I ever installed the unit, I already had a bad feeling about it. Being intrigued by new stuff, I pulled it apart to inspect. What I found was worse than what I expected. The comments below are in addition to the comments already made & you should take theirs into consideration as well.
1. The unit weighs almost nothing. That hints at a lack of components & heatsink (which would be necessary if it had decent amplification).
2. There are NO RCA outputs on this unit, so no amplification is possible.
3. The lack of RCAs isn't missed much, due to the fact that the unit outputs to mono (yes, I was amazed to find both the left & right speaker wires coming out of the exact same solder joint.
4. The radio is really only capable of running two speakers (only has wires for two as well) & pushing 4 would likely run it into distortion quickly.
5. The radio used antiquated common ground speaker outputs. This is something that I haven't seen since the 80's. It means that the entire chassis of the car is used for the negative on the speakers. It's not a good thing for noise at all (whining).
6. The knobs on the unit are actually knobs. Like the kind you found on radios from the 80's. This means that the radio's tuning isn't digital & there are no seek functions or presets. It also means that the volume knob is really hard to use.
7. It appears that most of the solder work on the board is hand done (common of Chinese products) & not in a good way (I saw what are likely cold solder joints).
7. All of the buttons on the unit feel like they are the poor kind of microswitches that I only see on equipment that fails within a few months & so I wouldn'texpect much more out of these.
9. Top everything off by a MP3 menu system that is from the early days of MP3's & you really don't want this radio.

Everything about the Radio
The radio feels like it's an analog tuner with a digital display of the channel. This would be fine, but the display doesn't quite match the channel playing, and it has a tendency to drift while driving down the road. There are no presets, so if you are tired of the current station, plan on having someone change the channel for you, or pull over, as watching the display to change channels is dangerous while driving.
The MP3 capabilities are great, and the ability to skip 10 songs at a time is a nice feature. It also has a search feature, but I haven't tested this.
If you mostly play MP3s or CDs, and are looking for a great value, buy this. If you listen to the radio more then casually, then look for another radio.

Great improvement over my 15 year old Blaupunkt in my truck. A bit slow changing modes and about 15 seconds reading SDHC card each time SD mode selected. Could have a bit more audio customization and text while playing from SD/USB/CD could be larger. Some basic features such as loudness and selecting folders only available with remote control. Comes with all parts and cables necessary for installation. Good value

There are no memory presets for the radio, and the tuner is terrible as well. Overall this item will be replaced soon. I wasted $60. What do you expect from a cheep radio? When I remove it, I'm going to smash it with a ball peen hammer!

(More customer reviews)I have only one issue with this product. I expect to use the clock feature while the device is on without having to constantly having to press the clock button. When the radio is on the display shows ONLY THE STATION YOU ARE TUNED TO. Play a CD it says CD, MP3s it will cycle the id tag associated with the mp3. The clock WILL show full time when in OFF mode. To me not having a clock displayed with out having to constantly press a button is a deal breaker Lanzar takes forever to respond to customers. If you don't mind not seeing the clock the get this unit, It does sound good and looks good in my dash.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit for my wife's car. Its a decent unit with a nice sound that brought the factory speakers to life. The video is nice and clear. The downfalls with this unit is CD's take a while to read, the aux. port always says no signal, the usb doesn't work with anything (Ipod or cell phone) other then a flash drive and the bluetooth is very "iffy". It will sync and unsync at will and thats if it even syncs in the first place. Cell phones seem to sync better than Ipods. Also, there are no graphics while a CD or SD card plays music and the music shuffle feature doesn't do a good job of shuffling. But the unit isn't too bad for $150.00. After all, you get what you pay for.
