Honeywell RCA900N1008/A 16V Low Voltage Transformer Review

Using my Fluke voltmeter it measures 20VAC at the terminals instead of 16VAC. Doorbell chimes can handle a wide voltage range however. This is made in China, so I guess the brand name such as Honeywell does not matter, the brand just sticks their label on generic transformers. But I do like the blue color, it's easy to spot in the attic.

This is about as simple as you can get. Hook up two wires to screw terminals and screw it to the siding. Construction is just plastic, so it's not exactly bulletproof, but for the price it works just great.
