(More customer reviews)What can you say about this item? It looks good with a metallic blue finish and gold contacts. It's easy to grasp with a traction enhancing grip embedded into the connector assembly. I connect my Sony DVD player's digital coax output to the digital coax input of my Logitech Z-5500 speaker system with this cable and get spectacular and high fidelity results, although I would mainly credit the speaker system for that, as I would hope digital signals would be more forgiving of any cable deficiencies.
But, it's good to have a well shielded cable, regardless. There are numerous analog video and audio cables running over my desk; lack of shielding would result in distracting noise somewhere. I paid for a high quality display. I paid for high quality audio. This means I needed to keep paying and use only quality shielded cables in order to eliminate cable crosstalk noise.
So, if you need a 12 foot digital coax cable, this is a reasonable choice. (As it happens, I could and should have ordered a shorter cable; six feet would have been ample and would have reduced my noise exposure even further.)
