(More customer reviews)I use a portable computer since I live in three different locations throughout the year. The docking station easily turns the portable into a desktop with a decent monitor mouse and keyboard, and plenty of USB ports; it is amazingly easy to use. It does require an IBM Thinkpad, but since that is what I use, it's very handy. I have a docking station at each of my locations, along with a monitor etc. so I just lock on and start working. I don't know why all portables don't have something similar.
