(More customer reviews)I've just sent back my second one of these units. The first one died within the first month and the second one is now having issues starting up. Seems to be an issue with the power source, as some (ok, a lot of) unplugging and replugging so far has helped to fix the issue.
Once the unit actually turns on, it works pretty well. WAY more power than my onboard (or cheap, cheap internal rocketfish 7.1 via ebay) and sound production seems to be pretty decent, especially for such a cheap unit. I used mine primarily for headphone use (grado sr80's, sennheiser hd238, hd555's and sony 7506's) and was satisfied.
Anyways, i'm not risking another one of these units, i'm just going to get something else.
So, if you get a functioning unit, you got yourself a 5-star product (especially when you factor in price). However my experience with 2 duds should definitely be taken into account.
