(More customer reviews)I got the Tascam with accessory package because it was worth it just for the 8GB card. I will skip over the DR-100 since you can find more reviews on that elsewhere. Battery, remote, and SD card all work perfect. My 1/8" cable had lots of feedback and contact issues so I threw it out since I had better quality ones anyway (it felt durable but just was crappy). My ear buds are good enough for basic listening stuff but I wouldn't use them as field headphones by a long shot.
All and all, if you are gunna get a DR-100, get the package, it's not all top of the line but it is a great starter kit.
