(More customer reviews)I have to say that i was a little suspicious about this card given its low price but I installed and it actually works! I have an old XP computer that I want to connect to a brand new Denon 3808 receiver using Toslink (fiber optic connector) so to eliminate the hum that was caused by using an analog connection. There is very little documentation so it took me a while to get it working. Here's a tip if you buy this, don't let Windows (at least XP, anyhow) install the driver for this card. Insert the mini CD that comes with the card and then manually navigate to the the directory for the sound card and run setup. Reboot as directed and then go into the utility from the tray icon and configure the card. It works beautifully. I am getting digital sound for all of my PC sounds. I do not have an analog connection and I'm hearing everything,... except a hum! Four stars only because of the poor documentation and poor online support.
