(More customer reviews)I bought this card on sale back in June. I plugged it into two different motherboards and nothing happened. The device manager would not even recognize that it was there. I talked with Aver's technical support, who was phenomenal regarding this issue, and sent the card in so they could test it. Long story short - it is not compatible with a Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 motherboard. They tested it on an Intel board and it worked. Next, they ordered my motherboard from Gigabyte and tested it to see that the issue was there. They contacted the Gigabyte R&D department, who blamed the issue on Intel's chipset. Really? I think not; obviously this was Gigabyte's fault.
So I bought a second motherboard, an ECS G31T-M, and popped the card in. Low and behold it was recognized from the start and I was able to install the drivers without any trouble. It is a very amazing tuner. I can record two channels at one time with this card and Windows Media Center using Vista Home Premium. The picture and sound quality is the same as the quality I get from a regular TV. The DVI-out is crystal clear. Overall a great product, just make sure your motherboard will find it!

Acer AL1917W 19" LCD (DVI-D input)
My plan is to hook this up to my Optoma HD70's HDMI port, so I will report back on that later. I will also try to use the composite-in with a N64 or something like that, just to make sure it works too. More to come....
