The only reason I rated the installation 3 stars is this, if you're running Windows 7 OS you are not supposed to use the installation disc that comes with the sound card. You need to go to "support.creative.com" website and download the drivers and installation software for Windows 7 and use only those for installation. This was not mentioned in the item's description, nor was it mentioned in any of the paper work that came with it when i purchased it.
I am not sure if I can make a suggestion to Amazon or Creative here, but I will for everyone's sake. Please take care of your customers and add installation instructions to the description so people don't go through what I did. Something as simple as "If your running Windows 7 OS do not use the installation disc that comes with the sound card. Go to "support.creative.com" website and download the installation drivers and software for Windows 7 OS from there". They probably wont add anything to the item description as I have suggested but at least someone may see it here and save them some headaches. Maybe creative will add a new installation disc that will work for Windows 7 OS.
