(More customer reviews)I have a Nvidia GTX 275 Graphics Card that I love. I bought a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my PC to my Surround Sound Receiver (which is connected to my HDTV) and discovered that I get HD VIDEO but No Audio! I went online to figure out why... It said I needed this cable to connect my video card to the mother board (or sound card ) so I bought this. Since my mother board doesn't have a S/PDIF connection, my Sound Blaster X-fi Xtreme Audio card had a S/PDIF pins.
(In case your wondering, I put my SPDIF pin on the top row, first pin on the left side and the Ground (GND) top row, second pin on the left side. Went into my audio settings, I chose the S/PDIF setting and I got sound through my surround sound)
So it's doing what I needed it to do. YAY! I can't say how cool it is to watch videos from websites on our 42" HDTV in surround sound. Definitely worth the buy!
Cons: Almost $6 bucks to ship - Really? The cable is so small that you can wrap it around a quarter 3 times. A First Class Postage stamp would have been enough.
Arrgh. Fine, you win. >:-(
