Olympus Stylus 600 6MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom Review

Olympus Stylus 600 6MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this Olympus after my Canon S400 died (yet another victim of the "memory card error" problem). In addition to its compact size, I started to really enjoy its continuous shooting mode to take action shots of my kids in their various sports events like swimming and running. The old Canon used to be able to shoot about 6 or 7 shots in burst mode before it would pause for several seconds while it stored the pictures on the memory card. When I went looking for a replacement (I ruled out all Canons), I found this Olympus. In terms of size, it closely matched the S400, but I was mostly interested in its continuous shooting function.
The Olympus web site claimed the Stylus 600 could shoot continuously until the memory card filled up. I was skeptical, but I ordered it along with an xD memory card. When I got it, I put the camera in continous shooting mode, and held the shutter down to see how many shots I could get before the camera paused. It kept going and after collecting 50 shots, I quit. The Olympus demonstrated to me that it can shoot several seconds' worth of action shots without having to pause. AMAZING! I can't wait to start shooting my kids' next sporting events!
I have had wonderful experiences with previous Olympus Stylus film cameras and I'm hoping this digital camera will hold up as well as the film cameras. So far, I'm loving this one!

Olympus Stylus FE-210 7MP Digital Camera with Digital Image Stabilized 3x Optical Zoom Review

Olympus Stylus FE-210 7MP Digital Camera with Digital Image Stabilized 3x Optical Zoom

and if you want image quality, don't buy this camera. I have a six year old Olympus C-2100 ultra zoom 2.1 MP camera, and the reason I have never upgraded is because the image quality is simply sensational on that camera. So I bought another Olympus thinking that the state of the art would have improved even more. However, my six year old camera simply blows away this one when it comes to image quality. Yes, it's big and clunky compared to this one, and this camera is easier to use, but at the end of the day what difference does that make if the pictures aren't as good?
Specifically, the edges are too "soft", particularly indoors with the relatively weak flash. Also very grainy in low-light situations.
I was simply astounded when I compared the 400KB jpeg files from my old camera to the 2.5MB pictures from this one. There is really no comparison. Everything from color correction, color fidelity, sharpness, graininess: simply EVERYTHING is better on the old images.
So next time I'm looking for a compact camera, I'll do more homework first. I think it's back to the store with this one, which I have dubbed the "disc camera" (remember those?) of digital cameras.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 Phone, Black (Sprint) Review

BlackBerry Bold 9650 Phone, Black (Sprint)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Got this to replace my Sprint tour that everyone said I sounded muffled on. Nice update from the 9630 Tour. No complaints about the sound (no muffling) and the trackball issues others were having with the Tour are fixed with the new optical trackpad. Also happy to report that the slightly annoying battery cover that was loose on the Tour is fixed on this model. Other than those items, the Bold 9650 has more memory and WiFi now. If you are upgrading from a Tour or buying a case that was for the 9630 Tour, be careful because they moved the charging port up slightly (about 1/8 inch) so your old style case may not allow proper access for the charger. I have a Case-Mate "Barely there" 9630 Tour cover that works on this one fine (only because the openings are pretty big). The phone works fine on the Sprint network and already has a firmware update on the Blackberry site (although I couldn't figure out what it fixed). Always back up your data with the Blackberry Desktop software before attempting a firmware update just to be safe. I didn't give it a five because I think Blackberry is lagging behind in web browsers and Apps, but this works well with my work e-mail so I went for this over an Android phone.

HP Photosmart M437 5MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom Review

HP Photosmart M437 5MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Purchased the Photosmart M437 for $100/- from Walmart. I was able to use all its features without even reading the manual. What a relief from the other cameras that I used that were cluttered with buttons and dials all over, half of which I did not even know what to use for. The use of the buttons on this camera is intuitive. It has just what we need, no more, no less. I take multiple pictures for every pose and select the best one for printing when I view them on the computer.
If you are not a professional and just take family pictures this is the camera for you. And if you think you need more than 5 megapixels, you are insane.
This is my 3rd camera in the last 7 years. My first camera was a $400/- Kodak, 2nd was a $280/- Canon. Both of them broke after 2-3 years of use. Every year technology is progressing at such speed, why spend hundreds of dollars on electronics that gets cheaper every year and also on features that you will never even use ?
HP is a name I trust. I have used 4 laptops over the last 5 years, 1 Sony, 1 Dell, 2 HPs. The Sony broke down, the Dell is the slowest though it is the latest and has a unfriendly keyboard/mousepad layout, the 2 HPs I'm most happy with. One of the HPs I have been using for the last 5 years. By now I know HP is a quality company. That is why I purchased this camera and I'm happy with my decision.

Fujifilm FinePix A303 3MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom Review

Fujifilm FinePix A303 3MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pros: This camera is compact, easy to use, has very good photo quality, inexpensive, Easy menu navigation, 3X zoom lens in relatively compact body, separate self-timer mode.
Cons: The movie (video) mode has no sound, Some add ons are a must and cost more, No rechargeable battery included, fairly long shot-to-shot delay, noisy images.
Summary: Just bought the A303, and I don't think I could be any happier. I have been snapping and printing shots for the past few days and it has been very easy, even for a technological nivice such as myself. The camera is small, good looking, and lightweight (7oz!). I Paid $300 before accessories, resonable for 3 megapixels. The camera basically comes with everything one would need, but for those who take a lot of shots, a larger memory card (16mb included with camera) would be necessary. I looked at many other brands. Canons were a little bit overpriced, Sonys looked good, but the accessories end up costing more than the camera. If your first time digital enthusiast like me, go for the A303, you won't be sorry!

For the novice digital photographer, the Fuji FinePix A303 offers 3-megapixel resolution with flexible functions in a trim, slim design--just over 5 ounces with batteries. It also is one of the first digital cameras to utilize the tiny XD memory card.
Optics and Resolution Featuring a CCD sensor with 3.24 million effective pixels, the FinePix A303 delivers a wide range of detail and color (with images up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels) and prints up to 11 by 14 inches. The FinePix A303 features a fast f/2.8 Fujinon lens with a 3x optical zoom and a 3.2x digital zoom for a 9.6x total zoom. Its lens focal length is equivalent to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera.
Storage and Transfer The FinePix A303 is one of the first digital cameras to be compatible with the new XD memory card. Comparable in size to a penny and weighing less than one-tenth of an ounce, the new XD memory card is not only the smallest storage medium, it also uses less power for better battery performance and has faster data transfer rates than other memory cards. The included 16 MB XD card will store approximately 12 images at fine mode and 26 images at normal mode.
To transfer images to your computer, simply attach the included USB cable between your PC and your camera--your computer should automatically recognize the camera and let you move the pictures to your hard drive.
Movie Mode In movie mode, the FinePix A303 produces digital videos (with no sound) in QVGA (320 x 240) format for movies approximately 60 seconds in length at 10 frames per second. The limited resolution of your movies guarantees that this feature won't replace your camcorder, but it's perfect for when you just want to capture a quick movie and e-mail it to a friend or relative.
More Features
1.5-inch LCD monitor
White balance: auto, plus six selectable positions in manual mode
Flash modes: auto, red-eye reduction, forced flash, suppressed flash, and slow synchro
Sensitivity: ISO 100 equivalent
Shutter speed: 1/2 to 1/2,000 second

Power The FinePix A303 is powered by two AA batteries (alkalines are included). We recommend getting a set or two of rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and a charger. A digital camera will kill a set of alkaline batteries extremely quickly, especially if you're using the camera's LCD, so they aren't recommended except in a pinch.
Size At 3.8 by 2.5 by 1.4 inches and 5.1 ounces (without battery), the FinePix A303 is an easily pocketable point-and-shoot camera.
Contents This package includes the FinePix A303 digital camera, a 16 MB XD memory card, two AA alkaline batteries, a USB cable, a hand strap, and a CD-ROM with software and USB drivers for Windows and Mac.

Kodak EasyShare C182 Digital Camera Bundle(Purple) Review

Kodak EasyShare C182 Digital Camera Bundle(Purple)
Average Reviews:

I'm impressed with the picture quality and the ease of use. I can expand a picture to wallpaper size on my monitor and not get pixilation. It has several settings but can be used easily right out of the box. The online manual (downloadable in PDF)is easy to understand & comprehensive. The attached instructions are pretty basic. I don't like that it has a proprietary USB cable, though spares can be had off Ebay for less than $5. Also a person can remove the SD card & upload from it directly. It will take up to a 32 GB card according to the manual. I can get around a 100+ photos on a 1 GB card. Battery life is OK, takes 2 AA batteries.
I'm not a real camera buff, I just wanted a point & shoot camera. This fits the bill perfectly for me.

Olympus FE-5010 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Dual Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD (Black) Review

Olympus FE-5010 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Dual Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently damaged my Nikon S6 digital camera while on vacation and wanted to have another to continue taking easy spontaneous shots for the remainder of my vacation. I looked at several Olympus models along with a Casio, Lumix, and a new Sony with stereo recording capability. All were in the 8-12 MP range and small compact size. I spent a couple of hours trying different features, focusing, still or moving conditions, and lighting and decided on the new FE-5010.
I charged the battery and "briefly" scanned the operational manual. I personally want to have a camera that is easy to navigate without having to constantly review the manual and the FE-5010 was exactly that... easy!
I have taken over two hundred photos with it during my remaining three days of vacation. Outdoors, indoors, with and without flash, a video of approximately (5) minutes in length, and almost all of the photo modes, (i.e. PHOTO, iA, SCN in several conditions, PORTRAIT,and SMILE).
In my experimentation of the different modes when I had the chance I took a couple of the same picture in a different mode so I could evaluate which were best for most of my shooting. I found the most valuable settings for me were "P", "iA", "SCN-Sport" "SCN-Landscape", and "SCN-INDOORS" with "P" being the most predominant. This was determined by me because most of the shots I had been taking in "iA" mode were automatically being set to "P". I assumed that if the "iA" mode thought that was best for most pictures it would be the best general setting for me as well and when in "iA" mode some feature changes I might want to make were not available to me but in "P" mode I could change the flash or other settings at will, that clinched it.
I often used zoom as well as a few at Super zoom (digital). I found that zoom in SCN-Sport was best for long shots of people because of the clarity when zooming for a closer view AFTER the shot was taken... it was excellent! The Super Zoom photos were as expected, (less than perfect) but if you didn't have to crop the original it was good enough to clearly see what the intended subject was.
The SCN-Sunset mode also took excellent shots with varying reflections from the ocean along with capturing the clouds and hues of the sky.
Three downsides were there was no histogram, which I have used with other cameras and liked, no "burst" mode which I have also liked on other cameras, and the reading time to send the photo to the XD media card. In bright light the shot-to-shot was very acceptable but in limited or low light it took the picture quickly but slow to send to memory thus had to wait before taking the next shot.
With no flash this camera was way ahead of my Nikon S6... simply excellent!
As noted by the purchase, none of these were a deal breaker because the other cameras I evaluated had many more deficiencies in one way or another.
The bottom line for me is when coupling the multitude of features, the clarity of the photos, the ease of use, and the price under $200.00, I had no hesitancy in recommending this model to a couple of friends looking to purchase a compact digital. My advise to anyone interested in purchasing a new compact is that they should compare any other they are reviewing to this one before making a decision.

This camera was exactly what I was looking for. I have a bigger Fuji camera that I have been very happy with, but wanted a "pocket" camera that I could have with me all the time. This is perfect. I can take it to the restaurant when I have dinner with friends, or to little league practice, and it doesn't take up too much space, or too much of my time worrying about it. It takes great photos, and I am completely satisfied, and will purchase Fuji products again.
This is a great point & shoot, take it and go camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70 4MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
Average Reviews:

It is excellent camera. It takes very good crisp clear pictures. Even though it has no manual, it has good feature of 'Focus'. Motion picture is really good. Very handy and easy to operate. I liked the Menu. Very user friendly. The best part is it takes only 2 seconds to become ready to shoot picture when you power on. I can just carry anywhere and share with anybody without need of any software to upload my images. The moment you connect it is identified as "removable disk" and you just use your explorer in windows to browse the images and download them. In our family we liked color effect 'COOL'mode. The pictures are very soft and cool. You can take mulitple pictures upto 4 in Hi-res and 6 in Lo-resolution.
Except one feature (Manual Focus), it has everything.
Worth for the Money! Great Leica lense.

Fast shutter speeds

Movie Mode In addition to taking still photos, the DMC-LC70 can also record 320 x 240 movie clips at 10 frames per second with audio. Your video length is limited only by the size of your memory card.
More Features The Mega Burst Imaging function allows you to take consecutive pictures at an incredible quick rate, making it perfect for capturing fast-moving objects in high resolution. The DMC-LC70 captures up to 8 consecutive images in standard mode (at either 3.5 or 2 frames per second) or 5 images in fine mode. You can then view your shots on the camera's LCD screen to choose the shot you want and delete the rest.
The Lumix DMC-LC70 features a Mode Dial that gives you a variety of settings to choose from to help give you the best shot possible based on your shooting environment. Modes include simple, normal picture, economy, macro, portrait, landscape, night portrait, and moving image.
The Venus Engine LSI generates the luminance signal of the primary color CCD using all three colors (red, green, blue) for improved diagonal image resolution, compared to conventional CCDs that use only one color (green) to do so, resulting in rich, expressive images. This LSI also handles image processing, LCD functions, and writing to the memory card concurrently, for an overall quick camera response.
Other features include:
1.5-inch LCD screen (114k pixels) and optical viewfinder
Built-in flash with auto, red-eye reduction, slow synchro, and forced on/off modes
ISO sensitivity: Auto, 50, 100, 200, and 400
White balance modes: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Halogen, and White Set
Self timer of 10 and 2 seconds

Storage and Transfer Images can be stored on the included 16 MB Secure Digital memory card; the DMC-LC70 is also compatible with MultiMedia (MMC) cards. Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via ultra-fast USB 1.1, which means it can be connected to any USB-compatible Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.
Power and Size The camera is powered by 2 AA batteries (alkalines included, rechargeable NiMH batteries recommended). Using alkaline batteries, you should expect the battery to capture approximately 200 shots with the LCD on. It measures 3.44 by 2.57 by 1.39 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 5.6 ounces (excluding batteries).
What's in the Box This package includes the Lumix DMC-LC70 digital camera, 16 MB Secure Digital card, 2 AA batteries, USB and A/V cables, and strap. The CD-ROM includes SD Viewer for DSC and Ulead Photo Explorer software.

Sony DSCP71 Cyber-shot 3MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom Review

Sony DSCP71 Cyber-shot 3MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Summary - the most camera I could find for [the price] in a small hanld held size. Lots of useful features. I am very satisfied with it as an artist tool. For landscapes less lens would be too far away, for blow up pics, less mega-pixels would be to grainy.
The Good.
Unlike film cameras, this camera produces all hues of the color wheel correctly. It also records a larger range of darks and lights. As an artist I have paid for professional studio shots of my watercolor paintings that are not as good as this camera. These qualities are mostly a function of digital vs. film camera. All camera films have color bias and less value range than what a painting can have. However, even among digital cameras there can be some color bias, this one has perfect balance. Also it can see into shadow areas revealing details better than most film cameras. With 3 meg Pixels it produces 4x6 inch pictures at 340 pdi on a printer, very sharp. Posters and magazine are printed at 150 dpi for this camera that would be about a 8x10 print, they still look better.
It has an amazing macro lens with a tulip icon. I took very close and very sharp pictures of tulips with it. Other subjests may work well, I don't know yet. It is packed with lots options like White Balance for cloudy days, very helpfull in Seatle. Other good features are manual focus, noise reduction, and in low contrst situations when the autofocus feature is confused it sends out a a flash to see the subject and get a fix, all cameras should have this feature.
The not so good.
Some low contrast areas have speckles in them at about the grainness level of ISO 400 film. This is very slight and most people will not notice. It also may be a factor of the "PaintShop Pro" software translation to the HP 1220 printer, because this graininess does not show up on the monitor.
Even with 3x optical zoom distant objects like Mt. Rainier show up at about 90 percent of their actual size, though this is pretty good at this price. Note 3x optical zoom cameras are not all alike. I depends on 3 times what size you start with. A Kodak 3x camera gives a much shaller or distant picture.
It comes with out a camera case and a slow battery charger, 13 hrs. But Sony gives you a $20 coupon towards buying a kit with a case, batteries and a fast charger 2hrs. for $40. You really want to have spare battieries and a charger that recharge them as fast as you can use them up.

Sony's DSC-P71 combines compact dimensions with a high-performance 3-megapixel sensor and affordable AA battery power. If you're looking for a take-anywhere camera that's easy to use and produces crisp, detailed images, the P71 is worth a closer look.
Optics and Resolution The DSC-P71's 3-megapixel sensor captures ample detail for sharp prints at sizes up to 8 by 10 inches. For a serious amateur photographer, 3 megapixels is a great resolution, providing enough detail to perform some cropping and still have crisp prints.
A 3x optical zoom lens (39-117mm equivalent) helps you to capture exactly the picture you want, and an additional 2x digital zoom (6x total) further magnifies your image. Remember, however, that digital zoom tends to reduce the sharpness and detail of your image, so it's best used sparingly. In low-light situations (a particular weakness for many digital cameras), a focus-assist lamp sends out a small patterned beam to help the camera accurately determine distance.
To compose your images, either use the traditional camera viewfinder or the 1.5-inch LCD display (which is also used to review the shots you've taken). Having both types of viewfinders offers the best of both worlds: if you're used to using a film camera or want to conserve battery life, use the viewfinder; if you want to see exactly the picture you'll be capturing, use the LCD display.
More Features The P71 is designed to be a simple point-and-shoot, so it doesn't have a huge assortment of manual settings. However, more advanced photographers will appreciate the manual focus mode, adjustable ISO, and white-balance settings, and well as the exposure compensation and the ability to shoot black-and-white, sepia, solarized, and negative images.
Power The P71 uses two AA batteries--a pair of high-capacity nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeables and charger are included. The benefit to using standard AA batteries instead of a custom proprietary battery is that AA batteries are widely available, so missing a once-in-a-lifetime shot due to dead batteries won't be an issue. The downside is that a digital camera will kill a set of alkaline batteries extremely quickly, especially if you're using the camera's LCD display. To ensure you'll always be ready for action, we recommend getting a second pair of rechargeable batteries so you can always have one set in the camera and the other set in the charger.
Movie Mode In movie mode, the camera captures silent video clips. Most digital cameras' movie modes are limited to 15- or 30-second clips, but the P71 can keep shooting until you've filled the memory card. The limited resolution of your movies guarantees that this feature won't replace your camcorder, but it's perfect for when you just want to capture a quick movie and e-mail it to a friend or relative.
Storage and Transfer Images are stored on Memory Sticks, Sony's proprietary memory-card format. The included 16 MB stick holds approximately 16 images at the camera's default settings. Memory Sticks are reusable, but if you tend to take more than 16 images per outing, then you'll want a bigger card. A 128 MB stick is a great size for this camera, storing around 130 images. To transfer images to your computer, simply attach the included USB cable between your PC and your camera--your computer should automatically recognize the camera and let you move the pictures to your hard drive. If you own a Sony desktop or laptop, your computer may also have a built-in Memory Stick reader, which makes transferring as easy as reading a floppy disk.
Size At 5 by 2.3 by 1.75 inches and 10.4 ounces fully loaded, the P71 is a very compact and portable digital camera.
Contents and Recommended Accessories The package includes the DSC-P71 camera, two rechargeable NH-AA-D1 rechargeable batteries, BC-CS1 charger, video and USB cables, wrist strap, 16 MB Memory Stick, and software on CD.
Everything you need to get started is included in the box, but we recommend these accessories to make the most of your camera: a carrying case, a spare set of NiMH rechargeable size AA batteries, and a higher-capacity Memory Stick. Compatible accessories for this camera are listed near the top of this page. --Shane Burnett
Pros:
3-megapixel resolution provides ample detail for most users
Compact dimensions make it easy to bring this camera along on outings
Point-and-shoot operation makes it easy for even beginners to get great results

Cons:
Movie mode lacks sound
Proprietary Memory Stick memory card format less common and more expensive than other formats

Olympus 228185 VG-120 Digital Camera (Red) Review

Olympus 228185 VG-120 Digital Camera (Red)

I looked around for a nice digital camera in the ballpark of $100. I was about to get the Olympus fe when I found this camera. I've used it for a couple of days now and have found it to be very intuitive and fun to use. Ease of use of a digital camera is an important feature for me and this camera stacks up in every way. The HD video camera is a great feature as well. So far we have been very impressed with the quality of the pictures that our new camera takes.
I would recommend this as a great point and shoot digital camera.

Kodak EasyShare C142 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.5 Inch LCD (Green) Review

Kodak EasyShare C142 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.5 Inch LCD (Green)
Average Reviews:

I needed a new digital camera fast in order to beat the deadline for an online video contest recently. Previously I had owned the Kodak EasyShare Z1275 model which cost me just under $200 three years ago. Money was tight and so I didn't want to spend that kind of cash. So I decided between two models: this one and another Kodak EasyShare listed at $104. In the end I went with this model, the C142 and I shudder to think if I hadn't.
This little camera with the small price just blew me away. Not only does it take high quality video but the pictures are even better than my old Kodak $200 model! I wasn't expecting that. The photos this camera takes are absolutely gorgeous! Even if you take a shot of your garbage can the picture is gorgeous!!
The camera takes double AA batteries, has a thingie on the bottom for mounting a tripod on, a beautiful LCD screen to view your pictures and video with, a slot for an SD card, a flash, a self-timer that goes up to 10 seconds, auto focus, a review of all your shots, and best of all a feature that allows you to easily share/transfer your pictures and videos to YouTube and other social networking sites (Facebook I think). Email as well I believe. On screen directions are in various languages when you first turn your camera on, there's a time and date stamp, and much more.
When you're ready to transfer your photos and videos to your computer all you do is plug it in using the USB cable/plug that comes with it and instantly the software appears on your screen for use. There is no software disc included -- it's already in the camera every time you transfer. An important note. You will need QuickTime to view your videos after they're transfered. And, yes, sound is included on your video but only available on playback. The camera has no speaker. Volume is adjustable but I find it to be just right. Great sound!
How Kodak can afford to put out a digital camera like this with such a small price tag is beyond me. But I have one and that's all that matters. I got the blue color and it looks like a much more expensive camera.
I wish I could afford to buy another one as I would just give it away to my favorite person. You won't be disappointed with this baby. I highly recommend!

Samsung 12MP Dig Camera 4.6X Opt 3 In LCD Red Review

Samsung 12MP Dig Camera 4.6X Opt 3 In LCD Red
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First off let me say that the reviewer that said it is hard to delete your photo's right away simply does not know what he/she is talking about! Obviously they have not read the manual, researched the camera before buying it, or did not spend as much time with it as maybe they should have.
All you have to do to delete a photo or movie clip "right away" is, with your finger make an "X" on the screen (Touch Screen) over the picture, a delete button pops-up you press it and the picture is gone. It literally takes 2 seconds, if that.
Below is my review of what I have discovered so far, mind you I DO NOT Personally own the Camera yet, mine is on the way, but I have toyed with it for probably almost 3 hours already at Best Buy (Went to Best Buy again today just to toy with this Camera some more, Twice! Once by Myself, another with my daughter). I have done extensive research on the TL225 and the TL220 (an incredible amount). The review below was written by me a couple days ago for a different web-site to educate folks on this camera. Here ya gooo...I went to Best Buy yesterday and played around with the TL220 (st500 and st550 in Europe and Asia, and is the same cam as the TL225, just less features) for over an hour (no kidding, an employee told me to "Just buy the thing already"lol), and I can not express how much I LOVE this thing!
I have never had so much fun playing around with a camera before! It is sooo user friendly, I picked it up and knew everything within a couple of minutes!
The Pictures it took where pretty good, it didn't do so well with close moving subjects, much blurr, but still pics where clear and the colors where vibrant. I found a Korean site to where a gentleman who bought this Cam posted a TON of Pic's, they all looked wonderful as-well. He also stated that this was a "Very Very good Cam".
My favorite feature that sent me over the top was the "Beauty Shot" mode and front LCD feature! I have scars on my face due to acne (pretty bad scaring), and I went into Best Buy looking greasy and very sweaty (just got off of work). The pictures I took of myself in Beauty Shot mode made me look like a Model!!! I am not kidding, my face went from greasy and nasty in regular pics I was taking of myself, to looking like I belonged on a runway for a photoshoot once in Beauty Mode!!! I was SHOCKED at how perfectly complected my face looked, you could not see one acne scar or blemish, it was amazing! I did not expect this feature to work so well!!!
I took probably 80 or so pic's of myself, I absolutely love the front screen! Yes, I took pics of myself before, but only for web-sites a forum purposes. With this, it was a BLAST!!! I had so much fun with this camera, I did not expect myself to care to much for the front screen, but I will be using it all the time once I pick-up this cam!!
All I was looking for was a decent point and shoot that had great HD video and good quality Pic's for vacationing, and playing with this cam for as long as I did sent me over the edge with all the features it has, I REALLY LOVE IT! I would like to note that my fiance owns the Nikon D90 and I use it often, so I have some decent knowledge on how pictures should look. I also own my share of P&S cams.
The girl at Best Buy told me they Sold Out right away and have the cam on back-order, and that she hears nothing but good things about it (she is actually going to school for photography and said she thinks the cam is a really good buy, and she was not saying this because she works there, I have known her for atleast a year already (from Best Buy) so we are more friends then me being just a customer to her.
I also tested the HD video and it was WONDERFUL! Someone posted 3 test vids on YouTube using the tl220, the new compression format makes it look like HD even when choosing not to watch in HD! Never seen such great quality Vid before in a camera!!! It is also REALLY REALLY cool how you can Pause when recording, and then resume play when you decide to, this way all recordings are on the same file. You can also edit the vid in camera by trimming the vid, meaning takeout parts you don't want and keep what you do want.
I will be getting the TL225 instead of the TL220. It has a bigger screen, metal back instead of the Tl220's plastic back, HDMI inputs (for viewing your Pics and Vid on an HD TV) that the TL220 does not have, and I believe the TL225 has 2 more modes that the TL220 does not have. One is Action mode (which may fix the blurr in moving subjects, it should), and another mode I have which to identify. The TL225 shows 16 different modes in "Smart Capture" mode, and TL220 shows 14. The TL225's also has haptic feedback, which vibrates the screen slightly so the user knows when he/she selects a command, TL220 does not have this. The TL225 also wieghs a half-ounce more then the TL220 due to the choice of displays. One more thing to note is that the TL220 3.0-inch LCD screen resolution has 230,000 dots, while the TL225 has much much higher resolution at 1,152,000 dots on it's 3.5-inch LCD, the highest ever resolution on a Point and Shoot Camera (for you newbe's the higher the resolution the clearer the screen will be and you will be able to see more detail on whatever it is you are taking a picture of). To me, the extra $50 for the TL225 is well worth it if you can offord it.Note that both Cams (TL220 and TL225) look identical other then the back screen being bigger on the TL225, and the colors they come in. I do wish the TL225 came in Red and Blue, but the orange will have to do for me. I will also be posting this same review for the TL220 for people looking to get that since thats the actual Cam that I toyed with.
I have done sooo much research on these cams in the past 2 weeks it is ridiculous!!lol I will give a more extensive review once I have this puppy to play with for longer then just a couple of hours.
All I have to say is I LOVE THIS CAM and can't wait to get it, it def exceeded my expectations thus far! :)

DXG USA DXG-5B1V HD DXG Sportster 1080p HD Underwater Camcorder Review

DXG USA DXG-5B1V HD DXG Sportster 1080p HD Underwater Camcorder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this as a gift for my wife in hopes that it was a great little camcorder for the price. It's supposed to be full 1080P camcorder with underwater capabilities. My wife opened up the camcorder and we instantly charged the battery to see how well it works. After the battery was charged I put it in the camera and wanted to see what we got for the price. I noticed that when I push the "Power" button it turned on and then shut down immediately, I then had to turn it back on. I thought that was kind of weird, but we kept on checking this out. Then I noticed that in 1080P you can't zoom at all. So if I wanted to record my daughter's soccer game I guess I would just have to run on the field and follow her around to get 1080P quality video. Then I put it in 720 mode and there you can zoom in and out. Not what I wanted, but maybe I could live with it.
I then did some recordings so I could do a playback and see the quality. It was horrible! The picture was grainy and terrible pictures the further I zoomed in. I tried to play with the settings and found that it didn't help at all. White balance and low light picture quality is not good at all. I was actually embarrassed to have purchased this as a gift for my wife. On the playback the sound was muffled and I couldn't pick up anything more than 2 feet away and was very hard to hear on the playback. It probably doesn't help that the microphone is on the top where your fingers rest. I did make sure my finger wasn't covering the microphone and that didn't make a difference at all. What I did find with the sound,(during playback), is that if you zoom in and out or change or push any buttons it is picked up by the microphone quit well, much better than someone talking.
On to trying to take still pictures. That was horrible too. All the pictures were blurry and grainy. This camcorder is just bad all the way around. I since have returned it hoping it is just a defective one and not a product that was put out for people to buy. Just a disappointment of a camcorder.
Pros: Lightweight, buttons are easy to navigate, waterproof (Didn't test it).
Cons: Complete waste of money, muffled sound, can't hear anything over 2 feet away, can't zoom in or out in 1080P. 720 is all you can record in with the zoom function. Playback of video is grainy and worse than a VCR used on a High Def TV with an old tape, "Still" pictures were blurry and not quality at all.

Olympus FE360 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Dual Zoom (Silver) Review

Olympus FE360 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Dual Zoom (Silver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ive had this puppy for about 3 months now and its great. Not sure what all the complaints are about blurry pictures because it has a feature called stabilization mode which prevents blurry pictures from taking place. There are over 20 different scene modes which allow you to adjust on the fly. I've been able to take pictures for landscapes, family photos, and goof around with it. Me and a friend were able to navigate the menus and take photos with one hand because the other hand was being used to ward off the other person from trying to take the camera. This is a fun and easy to use camera. Shutter speed is slow and if your taking pictures without the stabilization mode you need to hold the camera correctly and squeeze slowly for the shot. Being that its as small as you can get for a camera this isn't anything unexpected. Good bang for your buck.
